Window Seat

"...so can I get a window seat? Don't want nobody next to me. I just wanna ticket out of town to look around and a safe touch down..."  - "Window Seat" by Erykah Badu

So my journey down to Charleston, SC, wasn't such a pleasant one. My train was supposed to depart at 6:15am, but there was something wrong with a wire and the train was 2hrs delayed. Mind you, I had to take a cab all the way from north bronx down to penn station which ended up being a $50 ride and normally I would have to took my cheap ass on the local bus and train, but it was a Sunday and local buses, express buses, nor metronorth trains run that early until 6am so I was left with no other choice.

Anywho, I had a window seat all to myself until probably after 2 hrs and that passenger sat next to me till we reached DC and I specifically remember this because we had to wait 30min because of a change of engine or some crap...like seriously...*rolls eyes*. After that there were no more delays and got to Chucktown at 9:20pm. *Sighs* ridiculous, but I know the ride could of been worst, I could've been stuck sitting next to someone for a whole 13hrs!

So far this vacay has been great for me. I know it would be boring for others, but the fact that I can actually relax and not hear my name called several times a day, is good enough for me.

I'm far from going back home yet, but I'm already planning out what to do next when I touch down in the Big Apple. There's no doubt I'm going to apply for jobs like crazy, but I do want to go in a certain direction. I'm not sure if I should attempt to get into film casting, stick with fashion, or something different. I am a bit interested in becoming a wine connoisseur, even bought a book of wine, but who knows.

So now I'm going to catch up on my internship.

Bonne Nuit!

xoxo
