Those Who Run Seem To Have All The Fun

So I finally quit my job - well I gave them a two weeks notice so I can be safe, but thank ice cream, I will be a free woman....for a while. There were a lot of reasons why I had to quit, I do recall writing a post from last December stating that I was definitely going to quit for the new year, but there were more factors since then. I'm thinking about going down south for two months to ease my mind because I've been carrying a heavy load of stress for some years now and I'm in need of vacay BADLY; it's long overdue.

You know what's funny, I had misplaced my favorite necklace a while back, it's a wolf charm necklace I had bought a few years back that holds sentimental value to me - long story - anyways, I just found it a few days ago and it reminded me of who I am; all of my positive and negative qualities, what I'm capable of and not; put things back to light to me. Also, haha this is cray, but when I saw Les Miserables, the part with Jean Valjean singing "Who Am I", that also hit me hard. Jeez, this is the most blue week of my life. But I'll be fine.

So I'm just going to concentrate on taking one day at a time and enjoy the little things in life more. I'm going to try not to get my hopes up so much because I've done that a lot in the past and the bruises still sting from the fall every now and then.

This is such a c'est la vie post haha

Blue Like Me

I haven't written in a while because I've been (and still am) in a blue place. Had two deaths in my family, one not so close and the other very close. All this death and my father's endless health decline just put me in such a down mood where it's hard to shake out of. However, today it wasn't so blue for me, today was actually  pretty nice.

So I haven't been to the movies in forever (2 months) and I had to renew my Amc Stubs rewards card which I ended up with $10 for rewards. Obviously I headed straight for the theater and went to see Django Unchained, which was a great Quinten Tarantino film, then I sneaked in to Les Miserables which was phenomenal! I never saw the musical Les Miserables nor have I read the book, but the story was touching plus great singers. Any day where I see two great movies for the price of one is a good day because trust me, from a seasoned sneak-in movie goer, that doesn't happen all the time.

Anyways, tomorrow I go back to work, I took a week off, initially when my first relative passed away so I can help my mother out because she was really close to that relative, but just so happen the relative I was very close to passed a few days prior from my week off so it couldn't have come at a better time, I think I would've cracked if I had to go to work. Speaking of work, I have a mission to accomplish when I go to work tomorrow, let's see if I don't coward out.
