Aristotle Said, "A Friend To All Is A Friend To None"

That quote couldn't be more true. I'm very weary of people who have 'many' friends; it isn't possible. I have quite a few and it's draining in it's own way so I can't imagine having many. Friendships are relationships that need nourishing, it's a garden the way I see it and not one person alone can take care of a big ass garden!

There are only 10 people I call my friends. 4 out of that 10 I consider my close friends and only 1 is my best friend. I have had friends that had many friends and they weren't good friends.

Obviously I'm writing this post for a reason. I lost a few friends these past 2 years that I considered to be very close with, but when certain situations arisen, they didn't come through and it was a deep loss. I never thought losing a friend would hurt so much because I never really lost a friend out of the blue. You have friends that time and distance gets in between, but this wasn't the case.

It definitely makes you re-evaluate everything and reflect, however makes you stronger and appreciate the friends that you do have and be more grateful. One of the people I consider a close friend of mine once told me that he was sad because he only has two people he can really call a friend. I told him to count his blessings because there're people who hang out with an abundance of friends and none they can really lean on.

"Be courteous to all, but intimate with few, and let those few be well tried before you give them your confidence." - George Washington

WHAT KIND OF PHONE ARE YOU??

I don't get 'phone people', those type of people always updating their cell phones and shiz, it doesn't make any sense to me. The purpose of the phone is to call someone, so what's the deal with all those smart phones and android phones? Aren't they're the same!?

Anyways, at my internship, I'm handling a large amount of the social media aspect and just to help and make life easier I'm going to need a new type of phone and I was thinking a blackberry because I noticed a lot of people carry blackberry phones for work. I'm browsing through t-mobile and I don't understand this phone language and idgaf either. Ahhhhhhh!.....cell phones....ridiculous.....

I'm 23 and I've only had 5 phones in my entire life......yes just 5 cell phones. My first cell was when I was 10, this was when they started remodeling the cells from how they used to be in Wall Street (the movie) and I was only allowed to use that for emergencies like when my mom was late picking me up from school. My second phone was given to me when I was 12, back then it was the latest thing out, very small and sleek (motorola baby). Third phone at 15, again a small phone, wasn't the latest, but I didn't give a shiz, a phone is a phone. Fourth phone came at 18, my favorite I miss it soooooo much, it was small, black and purple, nokia...just beautiful *tear*. Now my current and 5th phone Samsung Dart, I hate it! It's everything I'm against, but my beautiful nokia died (r.i.p.) and I needed a phone that was affordable and snatched it up from HSN (Home Shopping Network). It's a touchscreen only (ew), just ridiculous.

So if you noticed, I only got a new phone every 3 years, because I only bought a new phone when ran it's course, I was never and still am not one of those people who just get a new phone because it comes free with re-newing a contract; that's so stupid. Don't get trapped in that 'lightbulb theory' shiz.

And I can go ON about how android and stupid smartphones are a tool for the gov't to keep track of you and shiz, but I love my life so no.

HOLLYWOOD HAS NO RESPECT

I'm a tough critic when it comes to movies, I take films quite seriously and I discerned a long time ago that it comes down to three things that makes a movie good.
  • the director
  • the script
  • and the actors
Obviously you have to have a good director from the inception; a director can have a killer script and some great actors, but if he's steering the movie into a bad direction (Michael Bay), then it's blah. Scripts are hella important and that's also when you know if the director is good or not when he has decided to do a movie on a terrible ass script. There are movies that I sat through and couldn't believe that the director or producer weren't like "what the fuck you have these actors saying and acting out?!" (Melissa Rosenberg) - by the way, whoever enjoys all the twilight movies, STOP READING MY DAMN BLOG, SERIOUSLY, you have no respect for film whatsoever - some of these screen writers are acting like they're writing a children's book, corniest language.

I'm not going to go in about how important it is to have good actors, I think that's pretty self-explanatory, though there are those who think actors such as Channing Tatum is good and all I have to say to them is that they need to get their life together.

Any who, the reason I'm even writing about this in the first place is because I'm re-reading the I Am Number Four series (just got the copy of Rise of Nine and to refresh) and it brings back the animosity I have towards Michael Bay for ruining my favorite sci-fi book. Yes I know! the movie is never as good as the book, but you're wrong! Hello! Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter, ring any bells?? What Mr. Michael Bay did was not follow some of the major characters descriptions (like really...really?), focused on stuff blowing up as usual, and changing the story's facts which irks me!

I can also go in on Hunger Games, but trust me you don't want me to.

Just saying if you're going to turn a great book into a movie, do it fucking right!! That's all :-)

WHEN PARENTS SAY HURTFUL THINGS...SAY FUCK YOU! LOL SERIOUSLY

I just had a horrible argument with my dad, well it wasn't even an argument! more like a verbal fight lol smh. My dad is in his 60s, he's very ill and frail, extremely paranoid and neurotic, plus he's already showing signs of alzheimer. We're going through a crazy financial crisis right now and there're a lot of documents involved, he thinks he puts it in one place and when he goes to retrieve it and it's not there, he immediately blames me, my brother or mother. I've been puting up with this for a year now and it has taken a major toll on me contributing to constant fatigue, weight gain, migraine, etc. So tonight was no different, he said I'm messing with his mind, yada yada yada, but then he added "you fucking bitch!"....I flipped and cursed at my father for the very first time, repeatedly.

I never even cursed at my mother and don't even know if my father heard me cursed before, but I did and it actually felt good, not the cursing, but that I finally got to express how I really feel about him. Don't get me wrong, I love my dad to death, but he's so unlikable, especially when he got sick; he's extremely ungrateful to those who care for him, it's just sickening and my mother is such a strong woman I have the deepest admiration for her to be putting up with it like it's nothing. Anyways, usually when these heated arguments come up, I start yelling at him explaining everything I do for him and start balling, but I was actual very calm when he burst on me like that - obviously till he called me a bitch - and didn't even cry, not even tears of anger and I think I know why.

I've been reading Thich Nhat Hanh's "The Heart of Buddha's Teachings", and he says to acknowledge your emotions, don't ignore them, basically say hello lol. When these verbal fights erupted, obviously I didn't want to curse out my dad because he's my dad, I'm in his house and that's disrespectful, but I didn't want to be respectful this time so I yelled at him just like I would at anyone else he came at me like that for no good reason.

I'm not even heated right now, surprisingly enough I'm tranquil. So lesson of the day: when parents say hurtful things, say fuck you!! But ONLY if they're COMPLETELY in the wrong :-)

PEOPLE

You ever had those days where you're like "people are awesome!" and "I hate people!"; well I get these days all the time.

Well I'm not much of a people's person to begin with and lately I really don't want to even try to get close to anyone because my philosophy is, "the less people you surround yourself with, the better", reason being, process of elimination is quicker to finding out who's double crossing you and whatnot instead of being part of a big clique and scrambling to find out, "which one of these bitches is being phony". And you're probably thinking man she must of been burned a lot"...duh! hahaha you live and you learn man.

I do enjoy interacting with people but that's the extent to that. I have probably just 30 contacts on my phone and that mainly consists of family members, pizza/Chinese/Greek restaurants (takeout), and job contacts. I don't understand people who have sooooo many people phone numbers and never call them, that's pretty lame. Dealing with people is just so tiresome, especially when you're a cashier they ask you how's your day and all of that getting to know you nonsense like umm you know you don't care and if you really do get some friends...other than me! Hahaha it seems so evil when you write it down, but no malice really, just being truthful.

I know I'm not the only person who feels that way....please confirm that I'm not evil! Hahaha have a good night guys! xoxo
